The Great Alpine Road from Harrietville to Hotham Heights has now been reopened, following a week of work from the Department of Transport, rectifying the sinkhole that opened up last Saturday 23 November. The sinkhole, which was noticed by a passing cyclist, developed from a disused mine tunnel, and has since been rectified with layers of compacted crushed rock. Well done to all the crews involved to get this rectified so efficiently.
You can find further information on the Department of Transport Website.
