Victoria’s new Container Deposit Scheme is now fully rolled out across the state and ARV encourages stakeholders and guests to save and return eligible drink containers at refund points near our resorts to keep our pristine environment free of rubbish.

The Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) is part of the Victorian Government’s $515 million investment to transform the state’s waste and recycling sector.

You can use the handy CDS interactive map to find your nearest drop off points (www.cdsvic.org.au) or simply drop off your eligible drink container at the following locations close to your favourite resort:

  • Mt Buller / Mt Stirling: The Green Community Containers, 15 Withers Lane Mansfield (over the counter)
  • Mt Baw Baw: IGA in Neerim South, 147 Main Neerim Rd (reverse vending machine)
  • Falls Creek and Mt Hotham: Settlers Tavern, 232-236 Kiewa Valley Highway Tawonga South (over the counter); Crispy's Hardware, 22 Wills Street Bright; Myrtleford Cycle Centre, 59A Clyde Street, Myrtleford
  • Lake Mountain: The Grand Hotel Healesville, 270 Maroondah Highway (over the counter)

ARV is currently exploring options for in-resort container deposit scheme drop-off points. In the meantime, using these available facilities will help us reduce these containers being collected in the waste streams in the resorts, ensuring they are being recycled and re-used, reducing our impact on natural resources, keeping our environment beautiful, and protecting our local wildlife.
